My cartographic artworks celebrate places, not just coordinates. Special places are memory, longing, and sometimes more: an identity, or a home.

The landscape shown in this artwork
Hobart anchors the south-east and Launceston the north, with the Central Highlands and Cradle Mountain region forming the island's elevated interior. The rugged west coast and south-western wilderness landscapes contrast with the more settled Derwent Valley, Midlands and Bass Strait coast.
Bass Strait frames the island to the north, with King Island and the Furneaux Group, including Flinders Island, shown as part of the wider Tasmanian geography. Well-known landmarks such as Bruny Island and the Tasman Peninsula are legible in the southeast. Roads, lakes, mountain systems and coastal settlement make the island's internal structure and maritime setting readable together.
How the cartography is composed
A composed cartographic artwork — terrain, contours, hydrology, settlement and typography brought into a single visual hierarchy. The detail rewards close looking; the composition rewards the daily glance.
How it’s printed
Offered in two editions. Precision Edition is printed on Epson Enhanced Matte (190 gsm): a bright-white, ultra-smooth matte paper selected for exceptional detail, a refined glare-free finish, and clear reproduction of terrain shading, contour lines and typography. Gallery Edition is printed on Standard Canvas (360 gsm): a durable canvas selected for large-scale statement pieces, with a subtle surface texture and richer physical presence at flagship size. Standard Canvas works include approximately 8 cm of additional canvas allowance on all sides, making them suitable for local stretching after delivery. Artwork is reproduced faithfully at full resolution; never redrawn, regenerated or simplified.
How it ships
Works are wrapped and rolled in protective tubes for courier dispatch. Domestic shipping and handling within South Africa is included in the listed price. A1 Editions are shipped rolled in protective tubes; Flagship Works are shipped rolled and unframed in longer protective tubes due to their large format, with size-appropriate courier handling included in the listed South African price. Please unpack with care: genuine print-production faults and courier damage are covered, but damage caused by rough unpacking or handling after delivery is not. International shipping is available on request and quoted at cost before payment. Full details on production faults, courier damage and unpacking are set out in our Returns & Refunds policy.
