Spatial analysis, GIS & cartography
Most spatial arguments are lost before they are made, because the condition being described was never made visible. Analysis and cartography are how a claim about a place becomes something other people can see and test.
The practice works from real datasets — OpenStreetMap, NASA SRTM elevation data, and national or local government mapping — through GIS analysis, terrain modelling and map composition, to material that is legible to a council, a client or a public meeting rather than only to another planner.

- A development capacity or infill question that needs parcel-level evidence rather than an impression
- A landmark, ridgeline or viewshed that a proposal may affect, with no analysis of what is actually visible from where
